Midland Celebration of the Arts

The Comanche Trail Woodturners (CTW) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing education, information, share ideas and techniques regarding the woodturning craft, exchange ideas about tools, to encourage and assist in the development and refinement of each member’s woodturning skills and to provide guidance and aid to woodturners through the combined resources, knowledge and experience of our members.

We are located in Midland Texas and have club members throughout the West Texas area. Membership is open to anyone who is interested in woodturning, whatever their experience level. Our club meetings are held on the 2nd Saturday of the month at 10:00 AM and usually end at noon. The meeting location is announced in our monthly newsletter and changes occasionally but is normally held here. (Click the link for directions)

The CTW is a local chapter of the American Association of Woodturners (AAW). The AAW is an international, nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of woodturning.  CTW is a chapter of AAW, and CTW members are encouraged to also join AAW.  Like CTW, the AAW is open to anyone who has an interest in woodturning.  Members of the AAW include all levels of woodturners, as well as institutions, collectors, and other people interested in our craft.  Membership in AAW connects you with a worldwide community of others interested in woodturning and includes a subscription to American Woodturner (“the most informative, and widely read woodturning publication in the world . . . packed with a wide array of articles focusing on everything from basic woodturning techniques and special projects, to innovative design ideas”) and listing in and a copy of the annual AAW Resource Directory.  For more information, please visit the AAW web site.
